Goods from Amazon finally arrived yesterday, taking a mere 3 days for ‘next day delivery’. Anyway. Both are very shiny and appear to work, which is a Good Thing(tm).
Hurt my knuckles a bit by failing to put my fist through a breaking board last night. Yes this was probably foolish, no I won’t do it again (for a while). I thought it was a good idea to get some breaking practise in, in advance of next month’s competition. I was wrong. I shalln’t be as silly again
I now have a dual-head (two monitors) setup at work, which is nice, although one of them is a rather fuzzy old monitor that I need to find a replacement for quite soon.

Well, last night I finally ordered my Digital Camera and Digital Video Camera. I paid for Next Day Deliver on Sunday. Amazon’s estimated delivery date: Wednesday/Thursday. I’m hoping they’re lieing and they’re really more competent than that, although I’ve been noticing them getting less competent over the last few months.
Also. yes; I’ve started playing The Sims 2 a little.

Well, I’ve just spent an exciting Sunday afternoon prodding WordPress into using the style from the rest of my site, and the rest of my site into using the links from WordPress. I still haven’t written the ‘News’ feed on the front page, but hopefully I’ll gain some competence at some point soon and do so
Also had my first comment posted by someone other than Cath last night. Thanks Roz

Signed up for the free trial of Asheron’s Call last night, after abusing work’s bandwidth to download it. Seems quite reasonable, missions are nice, experience system seems to be competent. You get both skill points and experience with levels. The skill points buy new skills, the experience improves old ones. Much better first impression than Ryzom

Oh well, Ryzom beta’s over, and it appears the developers/publishers are not sufficiently competent to get it released in the UK. This looks like a call for another MMO. Asheron’s Call(2), here I come.
Have also ascertained that it is indeed the lab that gives me headaches. Haven’t worked out what to do about it yet, although asking to be moved as Alex was seems to be an option.

Ok, and after deciding to give it one last try, I sat playing it for 6 hours. Seems it has *something* going for it. Another patch is being delivered about now, which is good I suppose. There’s not many people, presumably because it’s beta, but having found a couple of interesting people the game suddenly seemed more appealing. Perhaps it’s worth a go for a month or so, who knows.

Well, I got the SoR client, played it for about 24 hours. It has potential. The various things that frustrate me about City of Heroes seem to be better here for the most part. The big downfall though is that it’s still *so buggy*. A great many strings are just missing, some of the online help is still in French, items disappear from your inventory, and your keys are remapped every time you login to the quite retarded defaults. It’s supposedly better once you get to “the mainland” so I might have another attempt to enjoy it today, but this looks like an MMO I won’t be paying for. Bring on World of Warcraft.

Well, I’m getting a bit fed up of City of Heroes at the moment, so thought I’d try something different. Saga of Ryzom is in open beta for a couple of days until release, so I thought I’d try that. 700k/s download at work for the 1.1Gig client. Fine, I thought. Pre-patched client, neat touch. Then I try and log in (after the installer froze everything). 68 patches to download. Could be some time before I’ve tried the game

Right, the blog appears to be (fingers crossed) running. I don’t have much to say though, unfortunately.
Had a headache, came to work. Work’s not aiding matters as the lights in the lab give me headaches at the best of times. I suppose I should try and set cath up with a blog too at some point.
