oo oo oo - I’ll slap them aswell
I’m sure it will arrive soon tho - and then you’ll have your new shiny pootah and all will be well with the world ![]()
Found your post when searching for previously unknown Pardubice despatch location.
So I got Apple’s shipment status today saying ‘picked up Pardubice, PA, CZ 9 March @ 08.45′. Does that mean it will take a week to get to the UK via Luxembourg?
Where is Pardubice, by the way? I do know where Luxembourg is, though but thought my Mac was coming from ireland.
I guess it could be a week for you too, yes. As for where it is….I have no idea, except that it appears to be in CZ. My geographical knowledge barely reaches London ![]()
Pardubice is indeed in the Czech Republic - I seem to remember mine also took a somewhat scenic route to reach me….although I’d hope that yours had arrived by now ![]()
I’m another random Googler who found this whilst searching for ‘Pardubice’ and wondering when his Mac Mini will arrive…
Just my luck that 2x public holidays (Good Friday / Easter Monday) are going to further delay the delivery process:
Shipment Picked Up PARDUBICE, PA, CZ 23 Mar 2005 02:50
Arrive Terminal LUXEMBOURG, LU, LU 24 Mar 2005 06:32
D’oh!
Well, if it’s any consolation, once you get it, it’s a lovely piece of engineering.
It even plays World of Warcraft fine ![]()
I travelled here just like the rest of you, by googling Pardubice. My Mac mini is in transit via Luxembourg and Pardubice too. The Czech Republic is a very nice country (I strongly recommend Prague).
If you are curious (as I was) about where Pardubice is, you can check (no pun intended) this map http://www.mesto-pardubice.cz/en/about_city/maps/ , and for a look at the leisurely pace at the Pardubice airport, just follow this link http://www.mesto-pardubice.cz/en/about_city/tourist/transportation/ .
I hope my first Mac mini shows up next week… John/LuleÃ¥/Sweden
My mini and other things came from Apple on Wednesday (30th March) . Very impressed, and so nice to have all the luxuries of a unix based system without the hassle of maintaining a linux system!
And what a wonderful piece of engineering to boot.
If you happen to check back John, (as I just did) - make sure you upgrade the RAM if you ordered with the stock 256MB. Things get sluggish fast otherwise.
Regards
I am going to start selling my own RAM-upgrades, as soon as the mini arrives…
Another googler for PARDUBICE, PA, CZ
What’s the route? Pardubice -> Luxembourg -> UK?
It was for me, yep.
Power Mac G5 for me… Cork, Ireland -> Luxembourg -> Dunno yet… I must have flown over my house to get from ireland to luxembourg! What are they playing at :’(!
Same story here for my mac mini, damn those pesky czech’s with their mittens on my mac!
This is hilarious…i NEVER expected the first hit I would get when Googling PARDUBICE, PA, CZ would be for the EXACT same thing that I was wondering…
All for Mac Mini….
I started out being really upset that my Mac had not arrived but reading all of the posts on this site about this has really made my day…not that it brought but my Mac mini any faster…he he.
Yep, me too… usual route:
Shipment Picked Up PARDUBICE, PA, CZ 05 Oct 2005 18:10
Arrive Terminal LUXEMBOURG, LU, LU 06 Oct 2005 11:12
Out For Delivery LUXEMBOURG, LU, LU 10 Oct 2005 14:34
Arrive Terminal BIRMINGHAM, WM, GB 13 Oct 2005 07:00
So it had a nice weekend break in Luxembourg. Although my Mac Mini is now in the exotic location of Birmingham, it looks like my Mighty Mouse might be stuck somewhere else:
Shipment Picked Up VENRAY, LI, NL 05 Oct 2005 22:15
Where on Earth’s Venray? ![]()
NL is the Netherlands isn’t it?
Yep, Venray’s in the Netherlands, but my Mac’s still in Birmingham! In fact, now it looks like it left Birmingham shortly before it arrived there…
Out For Delivery BIRMINGHAM, WM, GB 13 Oct 2005 05:00
Arrive Terminal BIRMINGHAM, WM, GB 13 Oct 2005 07:00
Whilst whiling away the hours, I thought I’d find out more about Pardubice and Venray; the Pardubice region is apparently ‘good for swimming, water sports, hiking, biking and winter sports’, as well as the ‘Velka pardubicka’ steeplechase (http://www.pardubice-racecourse.cz/) and the Pardubice ice hockey club. Venray sounds a bit quieter, but it seems well known for its jazz. Nice.
Also in UK
Also waiting for my new mac mini
Also wondering about Pardubice CZ
Also wind up on this page! (bit like a black hole for mini would be owners)
Looks like I have to wait a further few days while mini travels Europe… (how lucky she is)
LATE
/mikes
Hello everyone. I also googled for PARDUBICE, PA, CZ. As I too was waiting anxiously for my new Mac Mini. To all those out there that have just experienced the wait, please please reassure me that is it well worth it! I thought mine was going to be delivered from the Birmingham Apple Store, but no, it is en route from Europe. I just can’t wait, I am too excited! hehe.
Hello people. Also waiting for the [my!] latest release of Powerbook. Like the rest of you I did a search, this time for Venray. The sad thing is that the mouse and the laptop are traveling separately. The mouse is in Venray and the LT is in SHANGHAI, SH, CN! God, is that going to take weeks? From china to UK! I can’t wait any more.
Good luck to you all
I got a powerbook just a month or so before the new range…..
Oh well.
The quality of the Apple stuff makes up for the insane delivery times but that’s not much consolation while you’re waiting at your front door for the delivery.
Hi everyone. I am still waiting for my mac mini, keyboard and mighty mouse. It is seven days now and Apple have had my money. I am now very fed up of the waiting. I only live 5 miles from the Apple Store but could not go there myself because of mobility problems. I thought the internet option would be best for me. My stuff seems to have got stuck in Venray, although part of the consigment has reached Birmingham. Incidentally, I ordered a book on Sunday afternoon from Amazon and it arrived on Monday morning, Wow.
Oh! well, I suppose I shall just have to be patient…… best regards to everyone.
Hi everyone,
Well it took a long time but my mac mini has arrived!!!

I think it must have got lost so i phoned applestore several times, they couldnt tell me what was happening. My anticipation and excitement turned to anxiety and disappointment. perhaps they re-ordered it. i dont know. but anyway at last i have it all.
So…. I’m not the only one googling for Pardubice….. ![]()
My brandnew Mac Mini seems to be in Luxemburg now…..arrived there at 9.35 this morning. If the drive fast it could be here this evening ……ha!
Feel like picking it up myself.
Patience…..
Meanwhile I found out that Pardubice is where Apple opened a factory in 2000…. Quoting: ‘the facility covers an area of 2,000 square meters, and 300 people are employed there.
The company is an Apple contract partner and has been producing test models of the iMacs in the Czech Republic since September (2000). Apple will distribute from the Czech facility throughout Europe, the company said.”
its there!
Ah yes, the new mac mini is serweeeeet. Thanks comrades in Pardubice - good work. One thing though have discovered that I can not connect to broadbamd via USB now that airport and bluetooth are installed - how odd - so have to connect via ethernet via my old BW G3! for the time being… until…. Airport express. (those crafty devils). Later. /mykl
Ahhh… the joys of Google.
Well, whilst I’m waiting… and waiting… and waiting… (thank god there’s no public holidays… I hope… in the near future, and Apple Shipped before the estimated shipping date) I may as well learn some more about the places my Lovely Mac Mini will be visiting. It may be a while before I become as well travelled.
Alex

I too have found this site looking googling for “PARDUBICE, PA, CZ”.
My shipment has only just been picked up.
Hope its not a long wait to get my mini from there to Manchester.
Hi there!
I didn’t think there was a kind of community of anxious future mac mini owners.
Mine has just left PARDUBICE, PA, CZ as well, and as all of you, I wanted to find out where that place is. I live in Germany, so I’m quite curious which route my Mac mini chooses to get to me, but I hope it does not take another week!
Apple has my money for 1 1/2 weeks now.
Plus my mighty mouse/keyboard bundle probably takes another route as it is shipped by a different shipping company. So it’s a race what comes first….
But as it sounds its worth the wait
Stef
Ordered my Mac Mini on 21st Nov and have been looking at the web to try and find out it’s progress. Just discovered it was made in the Czech Republic and like everybody else it has arrived in Luxemburg. As I live in Birmingham, I hope it lands soon and get’s here. Looking forward to ditching the WinXP and getting a much better, more stable unit. My partner thinks I love Apple more than her!………Maybe!? ![]()
Hope its the 1.5GHz with 64Mb VRAM - Fingers crossed.
Haha! Cool! Loving this thread! Waiting on my Mac Mini, googling PARDUBICE, PA, CZ. Mine, like many before me, is currently in Luxembourg. Nice work for the initial post!
Well then. Hooray for Padrubice, Cz.
Was googling for that City since I just ordered a MacMini and this thread came up. Hope it will find its way to Germany in time for Christmas.
Hope this thread lives a long life :D.
Another Google for “PARDUBICE, PA, CZ”.
Mac Mini, 1.4ghz, 1gig RAM should be on its way to Canterbury, UK via Luxemburg.
…. another googler… mine left 16th jan.. my new iMac DC Intel model was ordered at the same time and is ‘allegedly’ in the same shipment…… but it’s not mentioned in the status…. maybe it’s stopping off for the weekend and picking up its mate in Luxembourg or Netherlands .. or maybe popping over to Ireland before coming to the north east coast of england …. hmmmm
This is too funny. I was trying to figure out were my iMAC was and what all the initials stand for in the shipping manifest and found all of you musing about your APPLE computers too!
It has been great fun knowing that there are other APLLE users out there impatient for their new APPLE. It is comforting somehow to know that you can share your neurosis with others that understand ![]()
Thanks cyber-friends!
Well, Well, Well…. Could we all keep sane without googling while awaiting delivery of our Macs? Ordered mine a week ago and Yep, left……Cork, went to Darlington, Darlington to Nuneaton and from there it seems now to be in Nottingham 18 miles away
SO……I’m hoping. Of course you will all have multi-lingual versions whereas my iMac Intel will probably just handle Gaelic and speak to me with a Dublin accent. Odd thing is when I ordered it from Apple London I was told 3 or 4 days. When I later checked with Ireland they told me late next week(!) But, unless it’s hanging out in Nottingham, (why WOULD it???) it should, should reach me today.
This is my fourth Mac - the first to come from Cork though. I almost feel jealous of the rest of you for the strange and exotic journeys your macs have taken but, if mine arrives today it will have taken 8 days which is pretty good. However, online the Apple store is quoting 24 hours - which shows they have a sense of humour. I trust everyone has now received their machines but even more I bet this thread refuses to die. Like my Mac I got here via Darlington.
This thread is famous!
What’s Windows XP then? ![]()
Aaaaaand yet another victim of google mac paranoia! My brand new, much anticipated and hard worked for dual core G5 is still languishing in the famous resort of Venray, no doubt sipping on an old fashioned with it’s fellow skiving neer-do-well mac colleagues, taking a well earned break before I put it to the slave-like music production tasks that it was placed into this world to perform. Apple in ireland reckoned it would take four days max to reach me, tha’s how long they’ve had my cash and it’s now past midnight on friday. I’ve got over 15 gig of music software and a 25 gig sample library wanting a new home; don’t these people understand the meaning of the word frustration?

Unfortunately, it’s not Apple who hates you, but your delivery service
Not much to do about it though. However, be sure to slap the courier _after_ you received your Mac.
