Libjingle for Mac OS X…
As Kev announced earlier today, we took the dust of our Libjingle branch of Psi, and merged it into the mainline development branch (mainly to ease code management). It is not unusual to discover things when you go through stuff you haven’t seen …
And Remko did write something about OS X: http://el-tramo.be/blog/jingle-osx
I would like to try out the PSI client with voice support using jingle and do a voice chat with Google talk client . I believe a PSI client is not available for this purpose for public download. So, what do i do?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Your best bet is to head over to the forums at http://forum.psi-im.org and have a chat in the Jingle support forum there. However, in brief, you can compile support yourself on the currently ’supported’ platforms with the entirely unsupported ./configure-jingle script.
Any word on when this will be enabled in default builds? I can’t wait to have VoIP, but I really want to do it using an open standard…
There’s likely to be a new version of libjingle ‘Real soon now’ and after that’s released, we’ll be re-appraising the situation ![]()

Jingle Bells
Jingle Bells
Jingle all the way!
