Psi-0.12-RC2

Just late enough in the day that people will believe this isn’t an April’s fool, the Psi team are delighted to announce the release of Psi-0.12-RC2, fixing all blocking bugs found in RC1.

PSI 0.12-RC2…

Heute ist eine neue Release Candidate erschienen. In dieser Version wurden einige Bugs behoben. Die Ankündigung kann man im PSI-forum hier finden. Downloaden kann man die RC-version auf Sourceforge.

When I attempted to download PSI 0.12-RC2 (either Windows or Source) from SourceForge, my antivirus reported the following virus:

A false positive seems likely to me too, but my corporate AV blocks it, so I can’t download it to find out the specifics. The only message I get is:

“http://voxel.dl.sourceforge.net – WARNING: ProxyAV has detected a virus in this file! File has been dropped. Virus: ‘App/IdleUI-Gen’ found!”

My guess is that “IdleUI-Gen” refers to some sort of activity-detection routine that was legitimately added to the 0.12 build, and that it just appears to be virus-like.

Unfortunately, since I have no influence over corporate AV, if the routine remains in the final v0.12, v0.11 may be the end of the line for me. (And just when I was starting to push it to my coworkers!)
