Abstract

“The performance of a UMTS/CDMA network is dependent upon many operating parameters such as pilot powers, antenna downtilts and azimuths. In addition performance itself may be evaluated in terms of several different metrics; for example: the network capacity; coverage; overload; and mean cell traffic channel power. The simultaneous maximisation or minimisation of these competing objectives is impossible in general and current practice involves setting constraints on some performance objective and optimising only one, or optimising a composite function of the objectives. This study recognises the inherently multi-objective nature of network optimisation and investigates a novel simulated annealing technique for discovering the trade-off curve or surface between the competing objectives.

Salut ,
cordialement

Hi both.
I’m afraid this particular paper was Motorola-internal.

The closest you can get is to read my thesis, which contains some of the results.
